2 –  Data is separated by using commas.
      For Eg: {“Name”: ”Joseph”},{“Age”:24}

4 - Square brackets preserve arrays.
     For Eg:

What is the difference between JSON and XML?

The basic difference between JSON and XML is to retrieve data from web server. But why JSON is better than XML? I will differentiate between JSON and XML.

1 - XML use end tag whereas JSON does not use end tag.
2 - We cannot use arrays in XML whereas JSON can use arrays.
3 - XML expressed in more words than are needed as compared to JSON.
4 - It is faster to write JSON code to the programmer

JSON Example -

{
   "Name": “Jospeh”,
   "Age": 24,
   "salary": 800000

}

XML Example -

<Employess>
         <Name>Jospeh</Name>
         <Age>24</Age>
         <salary>800000</salary>
</Employess>

we can convert Javascript object into String using JSON.stringify() method.
first we make javascript object.
var obj = {name: "joseph", salary: 30000, age: 24, email: "joseph@gmail.com"};

Now we use JSON.stringify() method to convert from javascript object to string
var demoJson = JSON.stringify(obj);

How to parse JSON in javascript?

Suppose we received a text from a Web server. Following is the text:-
'{name: "Joseph", salary: 30000, age: 24, email: "joseph@gmail.com"}'

Now we will parse a text into json using JSON.parse() method.
var obj = JSON.parse('{name: "joseph", salary: 30000, age: 24, email: "joseph@gmail.com"}');

Up to this, we parsed into an object. Now we have to get the value of each key from an object.
alert(obj.name);
output - Joseph

alert(obj.salary);
output - 30000

alert(obj.age);
output - 24

alert(obj.email);
output - joseph@gmail.com
